I really enjoyed Laurence Oliver as Lord Marchmain in the BBC version, it certainly will be hard to top.Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07442028968527188345noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7488688702350761044.post-10164953256851496352008-01-02T22:09:00.000-06:002008-01-02T22:09:00.000-06:00Yikes, the guy playing Charles Ryder looks awfully...Yikes, the guy playing Charles Ryder looks awfully old for the part!love2learnmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10548471887979257624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7488688702350761044.post-41154802816749818852008-01-02T22:04:00.000-06:002008-01-02T22:04:00.000-06:00Aah, I have heard it said that the BBC production ...Aah, I have heard it said that the BBC production of Brideshead is the very best, most faithful version of a literary work ever brought to the screen.Ana Braga-Henebryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15590301615909326119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7488688702350761044.post-7606308238726716822008-01-02T21:58:00.000-06:002008-01-02T21:58:00.000-06:00Ah, yes, this is one of my watch-at-least-once-a-y...Ah, yes, this is one of my watch-at-least-once-a-year movies now (though I only saw it for the first time about three years ago). I think my oldest daughter is almost ready for the book, but I think I'll wait on the movies for a few years yet with her.

I just finished reading the book for the second time this fall and it's certainly one you can return to again and again. It's amazing to me that they kept the story so intact in the movie - especially if you see the special features and understand how many of those making the film didn't quite "get" it.love2learnmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10548471887979257624noreply@blogger.com
