The Road Home

The Road Home, Chinese.

This is another G-rated foreign gem! The photography and the pace of this movie will draw you in for a delightful experience--at least that was was my case. A truly wonderfully told love story, with depth beyond what meets the eye!

Watch the trailer here.

IMDb did not have much information on this title so here is a link to Sony Classics and its official website.

Enjoy!

ITA, a really lovely film. One thing that really impressed me was how little music was used--the absence of music allows the viewer to feel what he is moved to feel, not what the movie-makers WANT him to feel. A really great movie. Only caveat is that it's perhaps a bit over the heads of young ones--but certainly very appropriate for all.

Thanks, Caitlin! You say it so well. Yes, older kids, teens will enjoy it more fully, although their little siblings can safely sit bedside them and hold the popcorn bowl!

Ana, what a wonderful idea for a new blog. After listing my favorite movies of the AFI list, I decided to create a list featuring my family's favorite movies. I will share that with you.

Always happy to see another Catholic movie site go up. I've already put a link up on my own blog. My own site is a little... odd, but if I run across something guaranteed kid friendly, I'll be sure to pass it on. Keep up the good work.
